Ways to Help Out
Our goals are simple: we want to keep the historic Rayburn Chapel building and property to a state of good repair to preserve the possibility of serving again as a house of prayer.
Doing so will preserve the area's oldest African-American church facility while advancing our hope to see a gospel ministry re-opened in that location.
There are several areas where you can help:
We need funds to help purchase materials and supplies. Simply send a check or money order to Rayburn Chapel Preservation Society, PO Box 585, Cowan, TN 37318.
We need materials and supplies, such as paint, paint brushes and rollers, cleaning supplies, light bulbs, bleach, and so on.
We need furniture and equipment, such as bathroom fixtures, folding chairs, folding tables, counter top, small kitchen-style sink, etc.
We need labor and other services, such as tree and brush removal, minor electrical work, minor plumbing work, minor carpentry work, minor roof work, etc.
To inquire more, send an e-mail post to cowanchurches@gmail.com or leave a message at St. Agnes' Church at (931) 636-6313.
